Welcome to Our Artisan Bakery & Bistro

We have been an artisan bakery since 2006, first located in St. Paul’s West Side neighborhood, and not even a cliff falling on our bakery can keep us down! A huge boulder from the Wabasha bluffs rolled down on our old location, leaving the building condemned by the city. After more than a year, we are at last ready to open in October 2012. Our space in Mendota Plaza is roomy and has an open kitchen so that customers can see the bread coming out of the big deck oven and can watch as their breakfast and lunch items are prepared.

Our bakery products are all made from scratch and sourced locally as much as possible. Our artisan breads include natural sourdough rounds, garlic sourdough, 12-grain levain, rye, whole wheat cherry almond, whole wheat cinnamon raisin, and the three-cheese chorizo bread that is its own meal. We make a variety of cakes, cookies, cinnamon and pecan rolls, bread puddings, bars, and muffins, plus other bakery treats that pair perfectly with a cup of coffee, a specialty coffee drink, or Mrs. Kelly’s tea.

Breakfast includes several types of wraps, French toast, and pancakes. Lunch features hot sandwiches as well as cold sandwiches, salads and soups. There’s plenty of parking plus Metro Transit bus service at our new location at the southeast corner of Highway 110 and Dodd Road (Highway 149).
